This is my third birthday + soberversary post.
On the summer solstice, I turn 43 and hit 5 years of sobriety. I just went back and read the past two posts marking this special day for me:
My last drink was really a beginning—
of making art again (after two decades of dormancy), learning to live with integrity and emotional sobriety, and facing my fear of… everything. (This is all still a work in progress and forever will be.)
Year 42 brought the gifts of…
Picking up a camera in a flea market in Nice, France.
Shaving my head.
Studying the tarot.
Participating in my first photography show.
Writing a 100-day letter to myself and watching it all come to being.
Adding my photo prints and zines to my online shop.
Thank you for reading this, whether you’ve been here for a couple years or just stopped by for this post. This has been a place to mark time and I’m so grateful to be writing one of these posts once again. Thanks, 42.
xo, Corinne
