I got this idea from Alexandra Franzen. I was looking for something to keep me anchored to what mattered. I didn’t want to be weighed down with fear and distraction.
So a month ago, I wrote myself this letter:
Dear Corinne,
Today is July 3, 2025.
The last 100 days have been incredibly beautiful. Here's what happened:
I promised myself that I would stay true to the joy of creating art in any form and I kept that promise.
I took photos daily and challenged myself to learn more about film photography even though it’s overwhelming and intimidating at times.
I stayed focused and wrote regularly at my Substack and shared my art with people outside my comfort zone.
I poured my support and love into others.
I spent less time on my phone and more time reading fiction and spending time with my family and friends.
I feel so blessed and grateful that I’ve connected with creative and kind humans and we are making things together.
Looking back over the last 100 days, I feel proud of myself because I tended to my creative desires and deepened fulfilling relationships.
I can't wait to see what unfolds in the days ahead! This moment is sweet and encouraging. And, the best is yet to come.
Love,
Corinne
I’ve been reading this letter everyday and I can feel it recalibrate my heart and mind, shifting my inner state to align with my true priorities.
This note to myself quiets my inner critic. It encourages me to take a drive so I can take some photos. It pushes me outside my introverted tendencies to nurture relationships. Reading this letter is why I showed up today and wrote this post.
In that spirit, I wanted to share that I’m one of the three artists featured in the Behind the Glass gallery for the month of May. Opening night is Friday, May 2, 6 - 8 PM in case you’re local and what to check it out!
xo, Corinne
