Tammi and I recorded this episode in Nice, France! We share our recent experiences and reflections on the past week abroad—together and solo. One of the major themes that emerged was the idea of "letting go." It's amazing how having more space in my mind and having to only take care of myself for a week has less to noticing the way I talk to myself. I've found myself exploring new connections and tapping into my creativity in ways I never could have planned.
Our discussion touched on the Ray of Light community, an online creative salon for women that Tammi and I run together. It's been such a rewarding experience to see how our community members inspire and empower each other. Watching others pursue their passions has given me the permission and motivation to do the same.
We also talked about the ways travel opens your mind and helps you clarify your intentions.
I’ve had some a-ha moments around boundaries this week. It was a bit of a wake-up call. I shared my realizations regarding more subtle layers of my codependency in the most recent Ojai Session podcast with Tammi and Dan (see below).
From Anxiety to Creativity
In my podcast conversation with Tammi and Dan this evening, we began by discussing life over the past six weeks. (Thank you both for being amazing listeners and friends!) I shared about the return of anxiety that had been creeping in and gaining strength, and how it has begun to transform into a burst of creativity over the past three days in Nice.
One of my favorite stories from the episode was about my experience at a Nice flea market. Despite the language barrier, I took a chance and ended up purchasing an antique camera. This seemingly small interaction reignited my passion for photography and led to some beautiful moments of self-discovery.
Throughout our conversation, Tammi and I kept returning to the importance of community, taking risks, and embracing new experiences. These shared adventures have shaped our friendship, and I'm so grateful for the support and inspiration we provide each other.
