When the light makes your heart ache

I spent the last 10 days in California—Ojai for the first two and then Oakland for the rest of my visit. I was surrounded by kindness, creativity, and love. There are too many people to thank and it is an embarrassment of riches, especially at this moment in time.

My camera and the light were in constant conversation with my heart—constantly reminding me to look and to connect with the life-affirming ache a honey-colored patch of sunlight can give you.
